Our representative will receive you at the Koraput Railway Station, followed by a smooth transfer to your hotel or eco-resort nestled in the lap of nature. After lunch and a brief rest, we begin the tour with a visit to Sabar Srikhetra Temple, a peaceful spiritual complex modeled after Puri’s Jagannath Temple. Surrounded by green hills, it offers the perfect introduction to the harmony of culture and nature in Koraput. In the evening, take a guided stroll through the local tribal market, where you’ll witness a vibrant display of colors, handwoven fabrics, forest produce, and spices unique to this region. After breakfast, set off for a scenic forest drive towards Gupteswar, a revered cave shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on the banks of the River Kolab. The Gupteswar Cave Temple sits inside a natural limestone cave and holds deep spiritual significance for the tribal communities. This is the cultural highlight of the tour. After an early breakfast, head towards Onukudelli, home to the iconic Thursday tribal market (only on Thursdays). It’s a rare chance to observe tribal barter systems, shop for handicrafts, and interact (respectfully) with these communities through your local guide. After soaking in the culture, proceed to the majestic Duduma Waterfalls, a 157-meter high twin fall located on the Machkund River. On the final day, rise early and drive to Deomali, the highest peak in Odisha at 1,672 meters above sea level.
